Frames of Reference: Urban Schools

So i was thinking... this relates more to my ELRS Learning Theories class, but there are certain ideas or interests that grab our attention as individuals and give us the freedom to learn without the pressure of having to learn. I have noticed, especially in a school setting, anything that stimulates me to think creatively or express myself artistically motivates me to want to do and complete the task/assignment with enthusiasm. This relates now to our class because I was a little intimidated by the this class, first, because I have almost no previous knowledge of the course content and second the workload seems intense after reading the 14 page syllabus. I am however, intrigued and excited to explore the cultural collage, learn more about myself and how I can take that knowledge, expand and apply it to becoming a better, efficient educator... and of course learn about students'/teachers' needs in the inner city.
